Fuel light/Engine light

Has anyone had this one ?
For my first 10 miles or so, I get both fuel light and engine management light coming on and going off about 4 times then it's ok for the rest of the ride. Not low on fuel. I know it's not Japanese but i'm not impressed with the electrics on this.

I don't know 1125CR's but do your needles sweep when you first turn it on?
If yes, do they sweep when the before the lights turn on when your riding? Perhaps seeing that in your peripheral makes you look down and notice the lights?
If all that is true then I would think an intermittant power interruption to the gauge cluster would do it.
Try turning on the ignition and rattling stuff around to see if the lights turn on.

My '08 1125R has been at the dealer (warrenty til 2016) for the speedo dying, Got it back (after 9 months) checked it and sent it back for this exact issue that week. It's been there another 6+ weeks & supposed to be fixed by Fri. I'll post what they say the issue is this time.
When you turn the key on, hold hoth buttons down at the same time, in diag. mode will say if there is a comm error btwn ecm & cluster(U 0001), and fuel sensor(b 1005). You can also look at all the parameters as it runs (tps v & %, O2 sensor outputs etc...), Mine would also jump in rpm from 2k to 3.5-4k with no throttle input & no tps sensor change.

I've started letting it idle untill it's warmed up. Throttle used to jump also but ok once warm and engine light not been on. Still sometimes get fuel light but I know there is fuel there so I've stopped worrying about it and just enjoy riding.

Check with a Harley Dealer for an update on some sort of harness that came out in 2010. Mine did the same thing for awhile and now its sitting at the shop dead with all sorts of electrical issues. Ill add more to this as I find out.
