I have an 04 Buell Blast. Full tank of fuel. I started the bike the other day and accidentally put the fuel valve to reserve rather than run. The bike started fine, I let the idle drop after the start and I pull out of my drive way. I begin to roll out and it sputters. I stop and try to get the hiccup out. It sputter when I rev but idles fine. I realize the valve is on reserve and then switch to run and it is fine. Is my screen clogged?

Correct me if I am wrong. The reserve setting is drawing fuel from the same tank as run, just from a lower spot. If I start the bike and run it from reserve the bike should run the same as if I started it from run. The only difference is I would not have the sputter to tell me that fuel is low so I can switch to reserve.

Am I right? Someone told me it was due to a carb setting. I think he is wrong.

Usually I reset the odo every fill up and usually fill up at 100 miles.

You are right, reserve is identical to run just draws fuel about an inch or two lower in the tank.

It should run fine on reserve.

I'd guess either the pickup tube is clogged/blocked or the valve itself is bad.
