Check it out! I just installed and test rode my new Garmin GPS mount. It is great! So discrete, people don't even notice it when the gps isn't mounted. There is an expanding nut on the bottom so you can install and uninstall it all with one allen key from above the forks. It also puts the GPS in plane view without interfering with the keys, bars or tank, even when the forks are turned to full lock. I was doin wheelies and everything with it and the GPS never slipped or moved at all, but I can still adjust it the same as the standard car ball and socket mounts. I got it from a guy about 70 miles from where I live and he said he might go to ebay with them. It is a pretty intricate little part, but now that he has the prints and whatever I would guess he would sell them for less than 20 bucks. I could email him about the price if you want. If anyone is interested let me know and I'll pass the word on to persuade him to make them available on ebay.

That has to be one of the most badass ideas and exicutions I have seen. I need to get a GPS just to get one of those, oh shut I have my stabilizer there hmmmm.

So I emailed him right after posting and and he said he would prolly sell them for $17.99. Oh yeah, and they are mail out of Delrin (high grade engineering plastic), stainless and brass...so they don't rust or anything.

are these gps mounts available? Its a pretty slick idea and Im going on a trip soon and it would be awesome to have that set up. send me an email email

That is definitely a great idea, but isnt anyone afraid of the GPS popping off?
I have a Nuvi 750 and all that holds the gps to the clip is a little tiny plastic clip. I would just be very weary of it. I just bought a ram mount that is made for a bike.
All in all a good I idea though. I would put a zip tie around that bad boy though!

Im looking to mount my nuvi 200 betweeen the forks like this but didnt really know how. I thought it was a slick idea since im not a huge fan of mounting on the bars. Im open to any other ideas that you folks have

I was a little worried of the gps our mount popping off at first too, but I have been riding with it everyday since I first started this thread and it hasn't ever even moved, let alone popped off. I have hit huge pot holes, done wheelies gone faster than I would like to admit...no troubles at all. I love this thing! i'll let the guy know that there is interest and get back to you on what his plans are.
