gas tank gets hot

i was driving around town and down the highway just a little bit and the gas tank got real hot and was all but burning my leg got really annoying having to hold my leg off of it just wondering if this was normal or not and if so what can i do to fix it, thanks

Did you check your oil?

normal for a hot day. A full gas tank will help it not be so bad.

the oil was just changed and it was 58 degrees outside. i wonder if exhaust wrap would help cause it is only on the one side

After I installed a right-side scoop, there was a very noticeable increase in the heat from the area around the front of the seat.

Yeah, the tank gets hot. Really hot, if it's hot out. I wore shorts on my bike once, and for that reason mainly, I'll never do it again. It's also a bit more risky, int the event that you go down.
