know what you mean I try to stay out of the bs. They tend to bash the **** out of people for no reason. I'm just there for mods.

I didn't mind the BS but there is a point you say WTF. Yeah without the site I wouldnt of had a lot of mods i have on my taco now. I even have the TRD push button start

I adjusted the clutch cable and the shifting seems to be doing better and I see you guys had a wealth of knowledge on adjusting the clutch itself, I will probably try and give that a shot this weekend

nice bike. im building a similar one right now. Ever thought about cutting the cam cover? Im going to do it to mine, i think it would look good on that bike too. Is that a redneck frame?
my build
you can cut it yourself or send it to hammerperf or nrhs performace for about $100

Yeah its a redneck drop tunnel, I got the bike halway through the build. Hasnt been fun tring to figure out everythin that has been done. I do quite a bit of metal fab I will look into fabing something that will work. I hate all the chrome the guy bolted onto this thing

Hey brochachos, didn't like the frame color or all that chrome when I got the bike. I am going to paint the wheels and frame black. Here is where she is at on the tear down, just pulling the engine is all that's left

it should be darker and scarier when its done, I am excited to get it put back together and see what a difference it makes. Also the guy who i bought it from did a crap job wiring and didnt have a blinker system, which i guess here isnt a big deal but I am wiring some on as well as putting hand controls on

got the engine mounted and a new homemade wiring harness to replace the rats nest that was in there, would like to thank my buddy (pictured) for helping unravel the nest. The original wiring wasnt even ran through the frame

Wiring INSIDE the frame is fine for show bikes, not so great for bikes that are ridden, you have to run small gauge wires INISIDE the frames, there are chaffing issues and seen many shorts and melted harness's plus sooner or later the bike needs service, hard to do when the wires inside, plus harder to have good connections and terminals,

plus all those holes in the frame compromise strength of the tubing, the only PROPER holes are tubed, if drilling a hole, you insert a piece of metal tubing and weld it in place

I gave up on wiring inside the frames many years back, suit yourself, if thats what you want to do, carry on,

I like to tidy up the wires, lay it all out, minimilize, but put in good terminals and connections (chasing random intermititant shorts and connectivity sux) and use lots of shrink wrap and properly soldered and connected. Use wire sheathing, or,,, in one case, we routed copper tubing and ran the wires in that. (Steam punk bike)

Other than that. cool stuff. I used to build a lot of chopper stufff, have a few chop projects in storage still.

thanks for the heads up, the frame came with the holes pre drilled, we did use protected wires and with the size of the holes and tubing we didn't have to run any thin wires
