GOING FROM XB9SX TO 09 1125R ANY WORDS OF ADVICE?

I borrowed/test drove just for the weekend a CR, and it would not even touch 40mpgs on highway. Easy riding too.
 
early on, mileage sucks... after break in it slowly gets better, it is never as stellar as the XB's, but pretty good. I am also at a fairly high altitude (over 5,000 feet)
 
which forum is that guy from 03firebolt? i would like to ask him a few questions...
 
with a higher hp motor than the xbs ,why would any one think they would get better gas mileage??? What would be the savings ? a couple of dollars
 
Money is the last thing on my mind when i ride, i wouldnt let milage blur your decision, if it is concider a vespa. lol i'd keep the xb for a collectors piece if you have the room, and put miles on the bike that's more fun :p

I definitely believe that 90% of the time, gas mileage is a justification for buying something that you do not need. I could get 2 mpgs and STILL ride the hell out of my 1125r.

+1 on that... A tank of gas still costs roughly the same as the tanks are similar in size, you just have to fill it up once extra every 2 weeks...and at about $10-12 I can live with that for the smile it puts on my face.
