Anyone know the best way to use and hook up a radar detector on a lighting? I don't know where i would put it ;(

well regardless it would have to be somewhere visible because at 80 or 90 mph you wouldn't be able to hear the beeping anyways so you would just have to purely go by the led indicator lights...which may be dangerous in the first place....just a thought

im talking about trying to not get nailed when I am cruising around upright on secondary roads and whatnot. I dont go haulin ass everywhere... all the time lol

I would get one of those that you can do a remote LED light off of and stick it under the headlights

I lowered the windscreen on my bike. Used some foam to foil in the gap and have allways thought that would be a perfect spot to mount one. You could cut out a 3" gap and it would look awesome. I'll take a pic tomorrow and it'll make more sence.

how would it be powered?? do they make radars especially for bikes? or would you rewire a car one?

I believe they make ones specifically for bikes that run using batteries or something?! ;)

either way can work, some companies make hard wire kits for bike electrical but there are also AA powered detectors.

there are also bar mount kits some are in weather proof boxes you could also ram mount one.

i wanna try to do something that I can leave on the bike, I am thinking with some modification I could get it under the flyscreen on the left side. We'll see :0

Good luck with that my v-1 wouldn't fit i was looking at doing the remote display.
You really need a heads display helmet blue tooth sound. I had one on my 1125r Last year without a remote beep or light and you just can't look at it and don't till you see a cop and go oh **** did he get me and look.

I hear you on that. Something in the helmet would be best.

try this, it mounts in your helmet and is wireless to your detector
works with a few brands of radar detctor but its $100
here

No need for helmet system. A hard wiring remote head works great for me. Try to mount it somewhere like on your gauge cluster. One thing that's worked great for me is when I've been pulled over, I take my helmet off and I set it on my detector. He never even knows I was intending to speed.
