I currently got those sportmax tires on my 03 f9r, some guys told me there a pos, and others say there alright I just need to let them warmup... I'm just wondering what you vetrans out there are running?

I stick to Michelin for the most part but I have only heard good things about the Diablos

I don't get enough corners to use the powers to their full extent before they flat spot like crazy

I have about 1,200 miles on a set of Road 2's and they do very nicely. not quite the grip and turn in on the powers and a longer warm up time (granted it is still average or better the powers just heat up super fast, if felt like less than a mile for street use) but they are much better in the wet and will last a LOT longer.

I had the sport max, did feel that great in the turns, but I got a lot of mileage out of them. Some guys don't get much out of them some do. it varies, I'm running the pirellis now.

I never had the pilots but I love my Pirelli Diablos, my new pair helped me corner with so much ease [up]

Diablos are wearing well on my XB: center of rear tire is still relatively convex after 5k miles.
Chicken strips don't stand-out like a sore thumb.
:)
Plus, they "feel good" wet & dry and air-pressure doesn't fade away.
Cycle Gear mounted 'em up and didn't add to chips in the wheels' amber powder coat.

I run the Pirelli Scorpion Sync. I like them, but they don't do as well in the mud as the stock Uly tires though.

People seem to LOVE the Pilots, both Road and Power. I haven't used either, but I'll be spending $$$ on a pair of Pilot Power 2CT in a month or so.

For what it's worth, all the reviews and comparos I've read seems to say that the 2CTs are just as good or better than the Corsas, depending on what you're looking for in a tire. Pilots have better wet traction, better mileage. Corsas have slightly better dry grip.

my 1125CR came with diablo corsa 3's and I recently changed them out for pilot powers... I find the bike much more stable in the corners with the pilots!
