Got a gas tank question....s1

Figure one of you fellas might have some insight or tips. Got a new battery for the S1, drained the old gas and noticed some white crap floating in it...at first I thought it was little bits of Styrofoam, put it wet and kinda slimy....any idea what the hell it is? Luckily I didn't try to start the bike and the fuel filter didn't have any in it...so maybe it's from sitting for a while. Gonna flush the tank with gas or parts cleaner just to get any last little chunks out...sound about right? Nothing was sticking to the tank....just a bunch of floaters...tank looks good and clean inside....any advice...thanks guys

condensation mixed with a little bit of oily residue (additives by gas companies). Typical of storage in winter climates.
