Got a steal!!!

Well in my quest to finish up my Bike I came across an item I have wanted for quite some time........ An OEM Carbon Fiber Chin Fairing.

Well surfing Ebay last night I came across a New one and well in the end I payed $132.50 for it!!! A steal IMO, considering they aren't made anymore and when they were they were much more as shown above. There is another on ebay right now for $349 OBO

Yes, yes it will but the catch will be I wont have more than what even another used bike would cost me

I am keeping myself to a limit of $3500, which is some coin but considering I got $3800 from the insurance company for my claim last year, it still keeps me in the green[up]

For those who know him I would like to think I could classify it just under par with a "Keppi" bike.

well here are a couple pics of what I have or rather dont.

Most of the bike is at Powder Coat, the rest is in boxes yet or in the mail. I really cant do much, but otherwise....... it is in a forward motion. the picture of the items in my spare bedroom are going on but I plan to run Stt fork protectors at first so the CF fender will sit idle, also the Jardine will be getting replaced with a Custom Hawk Pipe.

Not to much of a Carbon Fiber theme just a few ascent pieces. Even some of those will have paint on them.

As far as the hole bike goes it will have my Ss swing arm, S tail swap, the Scg forks pictured above (no more slipped forks), and my bike will be a 2007 not a 2003

As far as the over all look it will be as clean as possible, meaning high end parts with a huge under statement to everything. For instance the Rizoma pulley cover I have is at powder coat to help hide it with in the colors I picked. And for the colors I am keeping that alone until the bike is near finished. I am kind of shooting for a big unveil of the bike and I am kind of shooting for a magazine feature but I know I wont get it since the bike will be kept clean and understated (not a big bling ball like most show bikes).

Again if you refer to Keppi's builds you will get an idea of what I am going for.

Wow, thats a tall order! I sure it will look awesome. Good find on the chin fairing. I am a carbon fan though.
