So I was hitting this road with a bunch of other people and on an uphill, off-camber, left blind corner with about a foot of marbles on the outside, this F-250 comes around with it's front end hanging into my lane just as I'm about to dive into this corner at about 35-45. Long story short, I **** myself and manage to get the bike about halfway through the corner.

Didn't go off the cliff though. Small victories.

So now I'm thinking it is time to wait it out until I get back to the mainland. I'm starting to think I'm not quite suited to ride a streetbike on the road. She will be rebuilt with only the track in mind.

The serious stuff. Just look at that left fork. Hrmmmmmm.

And if that wasn't enough, somewhere in the ride I managed to get a piece of metal in my tire. Probably the right hander just before the left I wrecked on, ha!

I'm fine. Was wearing all of my gear. Helmet, jacket, gloves, kneepads, and boots. I messed up my calf when the bike fell on it, that's it. ATGATT.

Yeah for sure! I'm just pissed it was pretty much at the beginning of the ride and we hadn't even gotten to the best part yet. That and my fork was bent and frame tab broken. That's kind of a bitch. Luckily I wasn't by myself like normal and someone who lived right down the road went to get his truck and gave me and my bike a ride home.

And the people who's house I wrecked in front of gave 20 or so of up a place to park in order to get off the road. Gave me an ice pack, a reclining lawn chair, and a beer. They certainly knew what it was ti "Live Aloha".

did the truck stop? i feel like people think those lines in the road dont actually mean anything, and that someone maybe had some extra paint they needed something to do with.

No he didn't stop.

Sadly, my GoPro died about 5 minutes before the wreck. The guy up front wasn't very far ahead of me though and he had one facing to the rear, so hopefully there is something on video. There are definitely videos of aftermath.

Glad your ok man that's the important thing!

Now I'm sure this thought came to you because you were frustrated but I think anyone that can ride a motorcycle correctly is suited to ride a streetbike on the road. If you can race the damn thing you can drive it on the street, just don't treat the street like the track and you'll be ok

Nope, truck didn't stop. And you know, every damn time i get on that thing all I want to do is ride it like I'm running from the freakin cops. So I figure I'll just do it where everyone else wants to do the same thing. I'm seriously considering getting like a Honda Rebel 250 or something for a road bike. Those damn things are SOOO much fun. Or maybe just fix that damn XB9 of mine. Only thing I got rid of from that damn thing was the throttle tube. and now I have to take the frame from this one to a welder, Might as well take the crank case from the XB too,

For months after I first got my 1125r I was scared to death of it. I just assumed I would cave under desire and do some seriously dumb garbage and get myself killed. I still do wheelies and ride fast on occasion but I've really worked hard on self control and never pushing my limits. It's a good thing that you recognize that aspect of yourself though, it keeps you under control and makes you aware of the dangers that present themselves when you push your limits.

That sucks you wreaked man. Glad your safe. Not a bad choice to go track problem is you always want to go faster.
