I've tried to contact gpi customer service but they won't answer or return my call. I have a set of stands and I can't for the life of me figure out how to get the front triple tree lift attached to the lower stand. Can someone tell me how to put this thing together?

Let me see if I can find a picture of mine on here as an example...I remember it being pretty easy to put together though. I'll be home in about an hour and can help better from there...

Cool thanks man. I figured that it would be easy, maybe I'm missing a piece or something. But with the pathetic instructions it's impossible to tell.

Here is a pic that shows it somewhat...

Basically though, the big round pin goes through the joint where the triple tree adapter meets the lower stand, I routed mine from inside to outside for adequate clearance), then coter pin it in place and tighten the black tension screw. The height is adjustable with the smaller pin, and coter it in place when you find the height that works for you. It's floppy till you get the pin in the triple tree, then it uses leverage to lift the bike up and is solid as a rock.

Ok that's what I thought but I just wasn't sure about how floppy it is. How does it keep the bike up when it isn't capable of even holding itself up?

I thought the same thing...you'll see once you lift the front. The pin seated in the triple tree anchors it and once you lift it it's solid.

Here's a video of a different brand that works the same:

Well the snow finally melted and I tried to put on the front stand with no success. The problem that I'm having is with clearance issues with the front fender. I took off the top piece and without the pin it in tried to line the holes but but it bottoms out on my front fender before this can be done. Any suggestions?

You might have to remove your fender. I have the pitbull stands and on my Scg it is required. On the 1125R it goes in w/o removing it.
