GPR Stabilizers

It is always good to have options.....

I ran Scotts on my GSXR.

If we see a EBR bike for the common person then we stand a good chance of getting companies to consider making us parts.

Anyone have any clearence issues, if so, what adjustments did you make?
i brought up the same clearance issues as u guys did... i filed down the bar clamp until the clearance issues were remedied. Still not happy with the way the stabilizer seems to want to stick @ center... makes it a lil funky @ low speeds. i Removed and reinstalled the stabilizer 4 times filing the clamp down each time think i'd removed enuff material each time and finding another small rub spot. damn near $400 is alot to spend on a part i gotta tinker with to make work.

Alright i finally got around to puttin my stabilizer on. Heres the story... I ordered the Lightning set up for my ULy. I received the kit for the 1125CR. No fault of Mikes... and he helped me out with getting ahold of GPR to get the correct parts. We determined that only the brackets were diffferent not the actual unit so i shipped the CRs to San Diego and received the Lighting set a few days later. Finally when i went to installing it i realized that the "GPR" logo is upside down on the CR as compaired to the XB. Not a huge deal i guess. So i got the bar clamp on no trouble... then installed the unit on the clamp and there was not enuff clearance for the arm to move in the well it fits in on the clamp. So i had to run to work and grab a few assorted files and take prolly 1/16 of material off the clamp and then it rotated freely. So in conclusion... this whole install was a bit more of a trial than i had hoped. I'm not in ne way unhappy w/Mike"Puzzled" he was very helpful. I am however a little miffed @ GPR. I really shouldnt have had to do ne filing on the clamp and they should've known the LOGO would face the wrong way on my XB. Hopefully i will be mored pleased with the operation of the product than the install and getting the parts.

My clearance is so close where the arm extends and bends I'm a little concerned that it may hit the clamp vibrating into a turn. I may file mine down a little as well just to be on the safe side. As it sits, there is literally a millimeter of clearance. In a hard turn or rough spot in the road may cause a vibration up the bike causing it to hit.

It's definitely a peculiar design. Regardless, I'm glad to have it.

Thanks for the input guys. I'll pass this info along as it may help GPR. When one or two units are close that may be that particular bike or two. When several are close than the design needs to be looked at.

pic of mine. note the upside down logo

Hello I have a white and blue 09 XB12R, everything on my bike is white black and blue, does anyone with a white/black/blue xb12r have pics of how their gpr looks on their bike? I was thinking on getting the black with a red adjuster because the tips on my forks are red. I considered the blue stabilizer with a black adjuster but I don't want my bike to start looking gaudy with a ton of blue everywhere.
Other wise I was thinking on getting black/black because it would be very low key and discrete. Is anyone still selling the stabilizers? so far the cheapest I've found them for is $445 with $13 shipping.
Thanks ahead of time guys. Mike

Here is black/black.

BTW want to share that yesterday this bad boy paid for itself in full. Was riding with friends and we were coming round this turn at over a decent speed. There was a truck coming in the other lane, no big deal he was in his lane and us in ours. But the feeling of your lean causing you to hit a vehicle in a turn sucks and has always been there for me at least. So i widen my turn a little, doing this my bike hit a dip in the road at the same time and it threw the bike into a head shake. Not panicking and trying to trust the dampener i just held on and play it out. The dampener worked really fast to take care to the head shake and i didnt get scared or have the butt pucker i normally would have.

Also want to note that that dampener is on a low setting for around town riding and thats why it didnt work instantly but within a second the head shake got bad enough that the low setting worked it out.

There is no choice of adjuster color, only black.

I'll get back to you on the stabilzer pricing as I need new price sheets. :)

I believe I can do better than that even on single unit pricing.

Loren is sending me over current pricing as well as group pricing. I'll post the new info when I receive it.

That would be awesome Puzzled, I do like the black/black but I do want to add some flavor to it, is it possible to get anodized blue hardware for the unit? I figure that will give me my subtle stealth look yet still keeping my color scheme tight and together.

Thanks again puzzled for the fast response, also I am in no hurry so if anyone else wants to do a group pricing I am willing to wait it out; however, I still would like to see the single unit price vs the group price because I might just break down and buy it anyway :p

Definitely would like to know about a anodized blue hardware set though[smirk]

If the anodized hardware is unavailable I saw a few white/black xb12r bikes with a blue gpr and it really didn't look like it would throw off the scheme, surprisingly looked like it would match pretty nicely, that way the black top and black hardware would fit in as well.
