I keep seeing these green light triggers online. Does anyone know if they work are have one on their bike? I know they only consist on a strong magnet. I'm a little skeptical.[confused]

There are two sensors at a stop light. One senses ignition timing, and the other is a strobe sensor for emergency vehicles. Your best bet on changing a light that you're rolling up to is a strobe light. But the trick is the timing. Each city has a different strobe pattern and strobe rates. Kindof like a key. So find out your city's strobe rate, figure out how to duplicate that, and your set.

I have seen it work (not often) where even flashing my brights seems to help trigger a light that won't change...

I would however be concerned about the legality of a strobe - they are used by emergence vehicles and it's probably illegal for general use.

If your stuck at alot of lights you're probably stopping in the wrong place in the lane.

Or maybe change your route.

Or drive a car :D

Caution..... Flashing your lights at a intersection to change the light will get you a ticket or if your lucky a warning so check for LEO's before you flash.

I'm not talking about flashing a green light to make it change. I'm talking about when you get stuck in the left turn lane when there is no cars to help set of the weight sensors to change the light. Supposedly a strong magnet will trip the sensors. I was just wondering if anyone had tried this. I live in Los Angeles CA. and bikes won't trigger pretty much every left hand turn lane arrow, regardless of where you are in the lane. It really sucks! It happens to me so much that I have to change my routes to places.[down]

Just do what I do, take the nearest parking lot that circumvents the light, Of course, the only reason I get away with it is because I go to work at 4:30 for PT and nobody else is on the road yet...Police don't cruise near the gates on post until about 9ish...

Oh and not all sensors will pick up your bike regardless of where you stop at the light, none of the lights around Fort Knox will pick up a motorcycle under about 600lbs. I figured that weight because none of the cruiser guys ever complain about the lights, but all the naked/dirt/street bikes do. We have to wait for a car to pull up behind us and hope they are close enough to the sensor...
