Hello Roman,
Very glad you found the problem with your gearbox and that you didn't have to rebuild it. Too bad you missed so much riding time, but now you have a better and more reliable motor.
That link to ASB is the clutch kit I just put in my bike. I haven't put many miles on it yet, but I like it a lot. Very easy clutch pull and I think a more precise and repeatable clutch adjustment.
The way it works is very simple, when you pull the clutch lever it pushes the master cylinder piston and the pressure is communicated to the slave cylinder which has a ball on the end of its piston rod which connects to the clutch cable coupling on the clutch ramp. The slave cylinder is normally in the extended position and the pressure through the hose causes the slave cylinder to retract into the cylinder housing, thereby pulling on the clutch ramp. It is a very simple and quick install, I could have done it in 20 minutes but took longer as I like to inspect and clean all the parts and I also changed the clutch cable/hose holder to a better one sold by ASB, checked my primary chain tension and changed the oil. Took 1 hour in all. The ony adjustment needed now is the one which adjusts the travel of the clutch ramp lever arm. The hose is a little too long for the Firebolt, though it is probably just right for a Lightning, but there arre good instructions as well as all the parts you need to shorten the hose & bleed the system if you have a Firebolt and want to shorten the hose.
Here are a couple of pictures of my bike, just before I put the hydraulic clutch on. I will take some pictures tomorrow of the clutch kit installed and post them for you.
Cheers
