how leisurely was this ride. did you keep up with your buddy on the r1 out on the streets. just wondering cause im thinking of selling my r1 and getting a buell, i love they way they look.

I was going to get a liter bike but decided AMERICANA was something I wanted so I opted for the buell.... though it doesnt take off exactly like an R1 it still pulls hard, the way i look at it is that with the buell or a 6oo you half to learn how to ride it hard and you must be meticulous about gearing and how you take corners... over all I was right on his ass the whole way and i pushed him through the corners. also the difference on the straightaways was noticeable but i caught up no problem... over all im happy with my choice.

hey guys so I want to take my exhaust off so i can send it to get hawked now the big thing is making sure i have all the proper tools.... so if you were going to get all the tools you would ever need to work on your bike what would it consist of... i only want the bare essential stuff seeing that i dont have a huge place where i keep the bike... the the bare essentials... your suggestions will be much appreciated

Hawk Exhaust

so i just got my exhaust back from randy and man oh man I couldnt be any happier this exhaust is wicked deep and has alot of bass..... def a bad ass exhaust all the welds look great but i had to hammer the exhaust inlet into shape because the shipping damaged the pipe a bit.... but oh well ....btw I noticed people kinda shitting on the hawk exhaust saying that the welds are crap and that the baffles are letting go and rattling around in the muffler but i did see slag fall out of my exhaust so i would recommend maybe hitting it a little before you put it on to guarantee that all the slag is detached from the wall.

gracias netty ..... im so pupmped i went with a hawk def worth every penny and i love this color combo too... only thing that sucks is the ears for the exahaust that hold the chin fairing on are bent so i half to try and rebend them tomorrow so i can put the chin fairing back on

hey guys so i ran into a small problem the shop replaced my left set but the first day i road my bike the toe peg rubber shift lever piece just came off so i got a new one not sure if i just pop it on or do i need to get and adhesive to like secure it on any help would be greatly appreciated.

ok guys so im thinking that my bike is way too rich judging on my pics from my spark plugs if thats the case does any one actually know where i can find the a set by step guide on how and what to use to tune a 08+ buell i feel like everything is rather out dated and cant seem to find good information on it.

hey guys so ive never really put my bike away for the winter so shes running like a champ...I just need to change the oil and thanks to noone1569 i got my amsoil on the way....as for mods that ive done since my last post here they are ... i bought an led taillight by buell racing and then went to ASB to buy the license plate light... I also went to cycle gear and bought a set of Trackside racing stands which i might add are a steal and great buy for the price!!!! I also bought led turn signals and purchased the ep36 led relay from auto zone and everything looks mint and functions properly.... I also ordered the ASV c/5 levers but they are taking a while to get to my house ill post up some pics once I have them installed.... on a side note I've been looking at replacing the tires .....i have one more season of tread left but I feel like since they are original tires from 2008 i feel like they are old and that could restrict the tire from heating up along with making the rubber harder? any one know anything on the subject? also i tried to purchase h3 led bulbs and they worked but i dont feel that they are bright enough so im going to exchange them for one set thats maybe a little brighter and if they work ill keep them becasue i dont want to half to hide 2 ballast's in the cowling...attached are picks and i got the lights from ijdmtoy.com...

Did an oil change and went to my bike the next morning to find it leaning against my car... found out they stole some one elses bike and left mine leaning against my car. they took my stands.. wish i caught them.. but good thing is they caught the kid riding the stolen bike a few days later.. needless to say i now have a lock and chain and a disc lock...Also the first bike that was stolen happened on a Friday night and the building new about it after the theft and didnt feel the need to email any other residents.... and then they came back to take my stands saturday night... wish they sent an email then I would've still had my stands.....

now i have a nice grounded down front bottom of the exhaust.. I spent the money and had it ceramic coated and now im not sure what I should do....should i just put high temp paint on it and call it a day or find a place to braze the thing to smooth out the surface... need your opinions.... also I already ordered new front and rear brackets...

Did it rub a hole in the can? If it didnt rub a hole in it, id just get exhaust paint and touch it up just to help prevent rust in the area. Its not in a spot that you can really see anyways.

no hole thank the lord but im curious how thick that area is.... I will prob do what you think and just paint the thing with exhaust paint.
