Hi StreetGliderX, shooting insects is a common use for the Macro lenses. I posted a small sample of my relevant macro pics to this Picasa Web Album. About the insects, check out the ones of the inchworm. An amazing amount of design is there the closer you look. I also enjoy infrared photography, so I added a few of those too. Also, there are a TON of incredible macro photos over on POTN . I think it might be just what you're looking for.
