I put a new battery in my bike and it kept shorting cause it would come loose. Well i think i finally got it fixed and stable. But now my healights dont work. Neither of them do and the extra weird thing (that makes me think i didnt blow the bulbs) is that my highbeam indicator light wont turn off. Its always on.

Any ideas? The bulbs look good. and i fiddled with the connectors and everything seems good.

Check to see if you have power at the socket with the bulb out, then proceed to the connector, then keep tracing all the way back to the fuse box. Still nothing? then trace from the other leg of the fuse back as far as you can. Guess you already checked the neck where all the wires are so tight.

Check headlight Fuse if that's not it Check the grounds inside the boot in the headlight and if that's not it check the headlight wiring harness I had this same issue.

Checked fuses, wiring harness, voltage in boot. Nothing. No wires look melted, the boot is getting no voltage, the highbeam indicator still wont turn off, and the fuse is good.

Am i going to have to strip my bike down and pull the wiring harness out and unravel the whole thing to find the problem? I know for a fact the front headlights arent getting any power. My halos dont light up and they are wired to the power in front.
Example of my halos.

Also could a mod fix my title? I was sleepy when i did it. It should be "now" not "not". Thanks!

seems like we had this issue once with d1's bike if i remember right you really need to check the grounds.
I can't remeber excatly what it was but it was somthing up there in the front fairing

Thanks RT and Steven, ill break the whole front fairing down tomorrow i guess. Looks like shes being put up early this winter :\

boom, same issue I had, made new grounds and it fixed it

grounded to the red circles. can use the existing ground wires if you cut and put fittings on them to attach there. I used, I believe, 18 guage wire and left the originals so I didn't have to cut anything off the harness

not necessarily burnt, could've just wore down within the wire. I assume that's what mine did since it was completely fine then when I came back out of my friends house and started it up my highbeam light was on and neither light was.

you'll want those female flag disconnects to put on the mounting side to the light so the rubber piece doesn't break the disconnect when it's pressure is applied

Got her fixed! For the most part. I found the problem (it was the white connector shorting out). At least if it starts again i know where it is.

Damn thing would make the fizzing noise cause it was shorting :\
