Handlebars

I was looking through American Sportbikes store for a set of handlebars. I like where my bars sit, I just wants some in black. Chrome definitely needs to go away & I don't want a crossbar. Does anyone know which set of Renthals are closest to the factory bars, the medium rise or the low rise?

A suggestion: look for '09 S/SCg bars-- they're black, with no crossbar.

all 7/8ths bars are the same OD and will fit on your bike providing they fit between the clamps. They do not have to be Buell specific. [up]

I'm using renthal carmichael bars and love them so far. There's not nearly as much pressure on my wrist as there was before.

I know the 7/8" bars fit, just wanna make sure I'm not putting myself too far forward with a different set of bars. I like the riding position I have now, just wanna keep it. Hey Krause95, are those bars flat or gloss black?

Seems as though the factory bars have a 4" rise, 6.5" pullback & are 28" wide. Seems like the Renthal Medium Rise are the closest to the factory bars at 4.6" rise, 4.2" pullback & are 29" wide. The Low Rise, however, has 4.2" of rise, 5" pullback & 29.4" wide. Width isn't a concern as I can trim them to whatever length. The pullback of the Low Rise seems like it may be the way to go. I think I'll sleep on it & order tomorrow.

I went with the Renthal Low Rise, grips from American Sportbike & Speed Metal bar end mirrors. I'm VERY happy with the riding position & the color. I believe it's the color I'm going to powder coat the tail section, the triple trees, bar clamp & headlight shroud. The Dumbo ear mirrors will not be missed for sure!

I also put on the tail section that Anrkism95 cut down for me & relocated my plate at the same time...
