Hello fellow Buell riders I have been chasing a charging problem for 2 weeks now.
Here is what I have done so far.
Checked my stator per the post of this forum put bike next to wall rev engine headlight gets brighter.
Changed Voltage regulator and the retrofit kit for the m77 connector.
Had the battery load tested, batteries plus said it tested good.
cleaned batter terminals.
checked my fuses found some my my fuses were loose reseated all of them.
Also I am not sure but one of my diodes (the lower one) was in backwards..however I think I myself may have done that one reseating the fuses as noted above.
and despite all of this the battery does not seem to hold a charge.
I note that when the multimeter is connected and I bring the rpm's up and hold them at 1500 RPM I do see the voltage rise which indicates to me the battery is getting a charge.
At this point the only thing I can think of is a loose ground I missed somewhere or the battery is really bad and batteries plus didnt test it correctly.
Any help here would be appreciated
thanks guys
