Don't get me wrong - I own a Lightning, so I obviously like seeing the mechanicals of a motorcycle (otherwise I would have bought a RR).

I also like when modifications are well-done & clean. I just don't happen to think that is the case with the ast bike. JMO.

I think the photoshop in post #2 is the way it should be done, to maintain the flavor Erik designed into the bike. Again, JMO.

but I don't like seeing all that crap (brake res, some other thing bolted to the swingarm, etc.).
nothing more bolted under there compared to stock, just more exposed.
only thing extra is the suspension adjustment...which you will tolerate once you know how it feels riding with that kind of suspension.
the fact that you see the stuff is also the point => suspension demo, need to see the stuff...

but, it's not my taste either...

btw, you think/know that's how he did it, stashing all the stuff that was under the seat into the airbox cover? i'd've taken it a step further and removed the front modules also, workin on it.. slowly...
yea, most is under the airbox cover.
