I have an 09 Ss Long, I did the breather re-route and nothing else, but the problem is is that when I ride a wheelie for a substantial amount of time oil starts pouring out of the breather filter all over the engine, why is this? should I do somthing about it? is this normal?

I am guessing you dont have a catch can?

If not, there is crap stuck in the hose that when you wheelie is spilling out the filter.

For a cheap catch can try air compressor filter from home depot or lowes. Route it before the filter.
I went on a 100 mile ride today, and my cup was 1/4 filled with gunk.

with the bike in that attitude, probably.

should I do somthing about it?
I would say quit rididng whealies but I know that ain't gonna happen. You can install a catchcan to hold the oil. Do a search, there are some you can buy and ideas on how to make your own.

That's what I did. I thought I had a good pic of it on here but I don't see it. Here's one after the wreck. The filter and bowl were ripped but you can get the idea. I made a bracket to attach it to the oil cooler mounts.

Where did you mount the breather? Depending on where and how you mounted it if your doing a lot of wheelies it should probably face towards the front of the bike so the oil stays in the drain tube.

same thing happens to my bike. oil goes everywhere. after riding i just use brake cleaner on the engine and fill the oil every now and then. also put a filter on the breather hose, that will stop the oil from spiling for about a month then you have to clean it.

my bike likes wheelies... :D

How did you route the hose?? I ran mine down the backside of the engine.
