having electrical trouble, please help

i have a 2005 xb12r and i noticed that when i turn the key on and have the run button on that the fuel pump comes on for the 3 seconds like normal, but heres the problem, after it turns off, if i move the bars it comes back on, if i roll the bike forward or backwards it stays on until i stop moving the bike. it also has no spark. if anyone can help guide me in the right direction it would be much appreciated, thanks!

Check out the link posted by onetuford. Also start inspecting all the wires around the ingnition and the ignition wires themselves. Sounds like you have a short somewhere

key to your problem is your comment regarding "turning the bars" or in the case of your R model....the clip-ons. absolutely positively nothing with the bike should change when key and red run switch are in "on" position and you move your clip-ons. your problem lies in the large wiring bundle at your steering neck area and behind your factory fairing.

What they said your problem is in there somewhere. A short or chaft wire or something
