Is the ecm specific to each exhaust or is the EBR ecm good for any one I get? Also, I take it this is something the dealership has to install?

EBR sells different ECM tuning for different pipes. You can install it yourself. It's not that hard.

Triple I install my EBR ECM in about 10 mins, its under the left pod and is a plug and play type of deal.

Been reading through this discussion and it is very similar to the great debate I am currently having on ECM and exhaust in general...

Do you go with the EBR ECM for stock exhaust or wait for EBR to come out with the Keda tuned ECM and go whole hog then?

Not sure how you guys have staged these upgrades but would hate to commit one direction and then come across a better option...

I've got all winter to think about this one...

Since these pipes look so much like the OEM pipes, I was just wondering...

Are they designed to be utilized as jacking points like the stock ones?

With most aftermarket pipes, I wouldn't even consider putting a jack under them to lift either wheel off the ground, and that is exactly what the factory recommends you can do with the stock exhaust...

It is a stock pipe with modified internals.

Also:

Randy told me he didn't want to completely hack up the stock pipe or just come up with a different design due to the mentioned above fact along with the ability to attach a belly pan for track days if one uses the bike on the road as well, also the reason he offers the race version of this pipe to retain the ability to hold the belly pan.

U realize we are talking about the 1125 pipe? Their are no jack points on the 1125. If ur talking about the xb pipes then yes he will leave the jack points in on request.

I realize that you are talking about the 1125R, that's what I ride, too.

You are wrong when you say that there are no jacking points - in the factory shop manual they repeatedly mention 'jacking points' without describing what the heck they are talking about, so I called H-D customer service and asked.

They finally got some tech guy on the phone and learned that, if you look at the bottom of the stock muffler, there are small bumps - these are the jacking points where the muffler is designed to hold the entire bike's weight should you want to put a jack under the bike to lift it up.

And I too would love to know how they sound - the stock pipe works too darned good. It makes the bike too quiet!

Although I'll take quiet and fast over loud and slow anyday!!!

Actually, since the original press release on the bike (found here: http://www.totalmotorcycle.com/photos/2008models/2008models-Buell-1125R.htm ) says that the twin outlets on the muffler were chosen specifically to reduce exhaust noise, perhaps one larger and angled exhaust outlet on the original stock muffler might just make the bike look, work, and sound the way I want it to without changing my ECU (which already has the latest reflash)!

I doubt that it's photochopped. It's probably a wee bit louder than stock, one entire chamber is completely gone, as well as part of another. What was done to it, dunno, but it looks like it's a good 4" shorter than it was originally.

I was just kidding Dean, trying to provoke a sound clip. I know Randy's work he does good work and likes to satisfy people.

Speaking of db's, how's ur perforated cone project coming along?
