Some say so...I didn't do many long trips with mine so I can't say for sure. It DEMANDS attention though...good and bad! LOL

It's as loud as my Jardine, but doesn't sound as whiney. Has deeper/thumpy tone, reminds me of my Vance and Hines straight shots on my Sportster. Longest trip so far is 2 hours, no annoyance at all while wearing a full face helmet.

Just got my hawk put on and wow it sounds great! But the best part was Randy he was so helpful and knowable about Buells. If any one is on the fence about them just do it! It's worth it!

Hey, I have an 09 xb9sx and am looking at getting the hawk exhaust. Only issue im having is with tuning. Do I need to tune it if I just change the muffler?
I can work with carbs but fi is over my head and ebr ecm for the 08-09 is wayyy too expensive.

Bought my bike with a hawk, love it. Cheap ceramic coating needs replaced from the previous owner, but other than that it sounds great. Just not sure if my bike is mapped optimally for the open airbox and hawk. Suppose i should give randy a call sometime lol.

Randy did a great job on my exhaust. It's loud and throaty. Best money I've spent on my 08 12R and that includes the EBR ECM unlocked!

what was the cost for this? i tried sendign them the email and have yet to get a response from him?

I have had my HAWK for a little over a year now. I have to say with the race map it really woke my 06 xb12r up. Money well spent. Does any one have any thoughts on painting or powder coating it?
