I went for a ride today everything was good. I stopped to grab something to eat bike set for a prolly 45mins.
I leave while going down the rode I noticed my headlights weren't working and the high beam indicator was staying on no matter if the switch was on low or high.
Anyways
Checked the bulbs and there good
Check fuses
Checked for power and ground: power was working but the ground isn't
I applied a secondary ground with some wire and the lights turned on
Also if I leave the high beam light hooked up and unhook the low beam ground the indicator turns off when I hook the ground back up to the low it turns the indicator back on even if the switch is on low beam.
Any help guys please loo

Damn I was just going to tell you that was your problem. It has happened to me before..I rode home in the dark with no headlights when it happened. Glad you found it anyway.

I do have a question
The ground wire gets hot not hot enough to melt but hot enough for me to move my fingers
So I ran a ground wire off the light to a ground and the wire still got hot
So i guess thats normal?

A hot wire is a sign of either to much of a load, or a loose connection. Make sure that the ground is tight in the harness as well as all the other wires in it. Don't use a higher wattage bulb in it. If it calls for a 35 watt bulb that is what you should use. Don't use a 55w on up bulb to make them brighter, this can damage your wiring or your headlight socket. You may be able to get away with a HID or LED set up as they usually run at a lower voltage. To eliminate the ground as an issue, solder another wire to the grounds in the headlight side of the harness as this will eliminate the connector ground and make sure that it is as least the same gauge or larger that the factory one(run it temporarily to the battery). If you have a manual, check what other circuits may rely on that ground and where it terminates. Clean the spot where it terminates to.

Hope this helps
