That Cerwinskie carbon looks amazing, it's the same graphic but instead of black it's clear revealing the carbon fiber weave of the helmet.
Bell had some teething issues with the star line, mine is 1 size off and has a raised edge of EPS that hasn't worn down all the way yet and it gives me a headache. The ridge it right in line with the corner of your eye if you were to draw a line straight back across the top of your head. This was further Exentuated with a seam from the cheek pad.
These are common complaints with the first gen lids.
The second gen (to include X's C-note) solved 99% of the complaints and changed the headshape to in intermediate oval from whatever they had before. The sizing was correctly done this time too. They fixed the EPS pressure points as well as the cheekpad seam but apparently still had some issues with the speaker cavities (if you dont use speakers you will never know) and fixed it for the third, but it was released just as snell released new requirements for 2010 so the second gen is still snell 2005
The third gen should be flawless and was necessary to update to the new snell rating anyway, I havent seen any new specs or reviews for the new star but to accommodate the new snell 2010 it will most likely be a but heavier than it's previous incarnations.
