Why just a mohawk? Do something no one else has done. Pig tails! Willie Nelson ponytail! Or my personal favorite, the Hari Krishna!

Good rule of thumb is that if you are trying to look cool then you are probably not cool...

Good point. And kinda puts me in mind of the kid who's mom made him use all the safety gear before taking his bicycle out, you know, and one of those dune buggy flags on a stick to be seen better. No flag? Uh o, MAN DOWN

I don't know where you live......but I found this on another forum,

In Washington they basing it off this RCW: 46.37.530

(3) For purposes of this section, "motorcycle helmet" means a protective covering for the head consisting of a hard outer shell, padding adjacent to and inside the outer shell, and a neck or chin strap type retention system, with the manufacturer's certification applied in accordance with 49 C.F.R. Sec. 571.218 indicating that the motorcycle helmet meets standards established by the United States department of transportation.

S5.5 Projections: A helmet shall not have any rigid projections inside its shell. Rigid projections outside any helmet's shell shall be limited to those required for operation of essential accessories, and shall not protrude more than 0.20 inch (5 mm).

That why I got a ticket for a Mohawk.

NOT gay. Sayin it is gay is actually gay.

wear it if you got it. [up]

I make it a practice to not worry about what you're wearing as I am busy watching the road.

I try not to take most things too seriously. I stick the mohawk on my bike every now and then, just for laughs. I love the confused looks I get, especially when I take my helmet off and people realize that I am a relatively conservative old man.

Transportation safety is my business, and sometimes my job gets very serious, so it's good to loosen up a little, every now and then.

Ya gotta have some fun before you die.

This pretty much sums it up.

^^^i feel like I have seen more and more riding in shorts this year. Freakin crazy!!

I agree with someone else on here... Forget the name, but am too lazy to go back and read the thread. Try something new... A guy I have ridden with several times has a mohawk, but it isnt the colorful frilly type seen above. He took little rubber punk rock pigs (like rubber duckies, but pigs with chains and black clothes) and stuck them on his helmet to look like a mohawk. It is still gay in my opinion, but less gay than the suctiony mohawks.
