Help: 12S or 1125

Hello all!

So, I sold my 03 9r earlier this spring and have been motorcycless for the summer and I think i might be going close to clinically insane

Anyways, I sold the Buell to change things up. I was thinking supermoto at the time, but for the money people want for them now I can get a whole lot more bike for the same amount of money, and it would be something I could actually take on the highway. So I came to my senses and realized I need another Buell.

I would like to get an 08+ 12s or a 1125cr ( I like the riding position) but I really don't want to spend more than 5k.

Has anyone found these for around this price? Or opinions on my dilemma?[confused]

Xb12! Just more reliable. Better gas milage too.
The cr seat is the same as a 1125r or firebolt isn't it?just different handle bars.
My only recomendation is to concider the 1125's stator issues . There a bad ass bike but I'd be afraid after hearing all the nightmare stories the owners have posted about.
Xb12's are simpler ,reliable ,get better gas millage and are easier to maintain.

You're right, I guess I just wanted to change things up from the clip ons. I thought about the stator issue as well. I guess I'll have to keep my eyes on craigslist.

I own both. The cr is legendary. Excellent. Do you want to bang a 6 or bang a 10. Yeah a 10 is high maintenance, but your banging a 10!

Is there any concern with higher mileage motors with the 1125?

No concern. But to be honest I have to experience with higher miles. My 08 R had almost 15 thousand and ran like a champ! It was always ready for you and now I have my cr with only just over 10 thousand miles and it has more stuff done to it so it definitely runs amazing! Like a dream everytime I take it out haha and sorry for my rant haha [up]. Everyone's baggin on the 1125s on here and it's redicious.

My cr has 21000 and though I'm absolutely positive its freaking possessed, it runs absolutely perfect if ridden as intended. If you like to idle around she gets a lil feisty.

my 1125R just went over the 30K mark... It is still running strong... just keep up with maintenance.

Just bought a 1125cr with only 1200 miles for $5,500. I would hope there are plenty with some higher miles under $5k.
