i was at a buddy's and got ready to leave, started the bike and realized i forgot my jacket, so i walked over to get it and heard a crash, turned around and my 'bolt was on the ground (left side), it cut off after about 3 seconds everything appeared fine, only bent the clutch lever and crushed my grip end, BUT on the ride home the oil light came on which i thought was strange cause i just checked the oil earlier that day, so i ignored it (bad move, i know) till i started hearing "noise" from the engine. it appears i'm now not getting oil to the engine, what would cause this after a fall? i'm totally stumped. any help greatly appreciated.

I do have a preexisting oil leak. And yes the tank was full. My guess is something happened to the pump from the fall. Just don't know where to start looking.

i would look at all the oil lines and fittings. you could have pinched one, limiting oil flow and causing presure to build up and start leaking from another spot or burn up the oil pump. thats where i would start. ive had my bolt fall over like that before, but havnt had that happen. its the same year,

just got home from work and inspected a little bit. i don't see any damage or pinching of any of the lines. is there any way to power the pump with out starting the bike to see if it is still working?

clicking, tapping, knocking, the typical stuff you would associate with being low or empty on oil

Its possible your oil pump drive gear wore out/failed. Its not un-common and theres a high performance/updated drive gear. You can remove you timing/cam cover fairly easy, becareful not to pull the cams out in the process or it becomes a huge job to reinstall them. Its a cute little brass helical gear.
