hello my name is matt and new to this website. I have a 2006 xb12r with 9k miles. It has a race kit from pervious owner.

Problem: while riding i feel a jerking feeling in the bike for 2sec, then it well go away. then will repeat and do the samething. its happening around 5 to 20min of riding. Help plz

What? it happens around 5-20 mins of riding? What does that mean? Are you saying it starts doing this and conitinues for 5-20 mins sporadically? Or are you saying the first 5-20mns after you start it from cold? These bikes require NO LESS than 5 mins to warm up in 100 degree weather. The colder it gets the more you shoud allow it to warm up. It will buck and sputter if it is cold. It will also do this if you are under 2000 rpms and in 2nd or 1st gear. These bikes DO NOT run smooth until 30mph and above.

its like 60 degrees (wisconsin) outside and on the highway when these is happening. it happens every 5 to 20min of riding the bike on the highway. I let my bike warm up for 3 mins before riding. thx for the quick reply

My guess is that you have bad plugs or bad plug wires. I had a plug wire go bad from rubbing against the frame. As you know these things shimmy and shake like a SOB, and eventually all that shaking of the plug wire against the frame cause a spot to wear through to the wire core which caused a direct short to the frame instead of getting spark to my plug. It caused my bike to buck and jerk. replaced the wire and everything is back to normal!

I let my bike warm up for 3 mins before riding.
in Wisconsin that is not near enough warm up time. You probably have a plug that is starting to foul from not properly warming it up.
