So i finished one of my winter projects (yes winter just started). 2009 firebolt with 06 ss frame and arm (im 6'3"), engine is NRHS 1250 and stage 3 ported heads, micron exhaust, SCG Suspension. Took it for a quick spin today in 26 degree weather and it feels ok, but i need to get this thing tuned properly before i break it. I know, i know tunerversity...... im just looking to find someone that i can bring it to and have it tuned for me. Its an 09 ecu and no one wants to touch it. Thinking i should have used the 06 ecu and harness i had laying on a shelf. So my question is, who can help me??? im in NY but will travel within reason.

The 06 stuff wont work on the 09.

Goodluck taking it somewhere, do it
Yourself. Download tunerpro rt, the buell plugin, and approriate definition files. What a pain.

First thing to do is get your base fuel maps, or stock whatever. Multiply the entire maps by lets say 5% thats about the displacent difference. This is a crude way to get you in the ball park. Also puts ya about 1% richer. Not rich overall just closer. From there a wide band air fuel ratio sensor and data logging can get you fine tuned.
Then again i could be completely wrong, but this is how i do it on cars with bored out engines and EFI systems, so far so good.

The fact of the matter is: you shouldn't trust any random tuner with this bike. Call Max at Tuniversity and he will set you straight and offers different package levels depending on how much help you need from him. I used him first time around with my 2010 12scg and the tune made a drastic improvement. I'm waiting on my 1500cc engine to arrive and will be using him again...this time on a dyno though.
