Well, my LED one piece tail light + turn signals quit working altogether. I am assuming this is an aftermarket tail light with integrated turn signals as the wiring was spliced in. After some investigating the wiring in the tail light area in the tail of my 2003 XB9R which I bought used recently, I found mouse damage to the wiring. The fuse box is not in the spot the manual says it should be (right side behind fairing). The tail light was acting funny and I was trying to get the turn signals to work until ultimately, I heard a "pop" or "click" somewhere on the bike and the low beam headlight quit working as did ALL electrical in the tail light....both the rear turn signals, speedo/tach backlighting, brake, and tail lights. The high beam works when you turn it on but that is it. The bike starts so it is not the main fuse.

1) Is there a popular spot people relocate the fuse box to, and if yes, where do people put them?

2) I am going to replace all damaged wires since it is copper spaghetti in there thanks to that darn rodent! Can anyone tell me what guage the wires are so I can get the correct guage?

Thanks!

Okay, found the fuse box under the tail behind the battery. Fuse is good but replaced it anyways to be sure. I still have high beam headlight, brake lights, but no turn signals, running lights in the tail, and no lights in the instrument cluster for the speedo and tach. I took the switch assembly apart at the handlebars to inspect the wiring which is all good still with no scorchs or burns.

Any suggestions on where to look next?

Thanks!

Thank you. Unfortunately that one is good too. I checked all the fuses and even replaced the lights fuse just for good measure. God I wanna SCREEEAM! LOL

Did you mess with the diodes? the black fuse like things. I know they have to be pointing in a certain direction. I think inward... I'll doubt check that when I get home.

Saw another thread where he said it might be a bad ground. I know this doesn't help much...didn't help me much when I had electrical issues, just gave me somewhere else to look. my electrical issues spanned from wires grounding out by the front forks(inside the harness where it's attached to the front of the frame).

Flaya, THANK YOU for mentioning the acc fuse! Man, there was a ever so slight burn on it. I redid the mouse damaged wires, swapped the fuse, and I am back on the road again! THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!! :D
