So, I'm rolling into work today and all of a sudden my bike starts running like crap. I get to a light and it dies and won't start up again......awesome!!! So, I push it to the side of the road and checked the fuses and the ignition fuse was blown. I replaced it with a spare and the bike started up, but it still runs like crap. Feels like its running on one cylinder. I'm thinking a fouled plug and loose or fried plug wire. Anyone know where the plugs are at one these bikes? It's pretty crapped in there.

Any and all help would be appreciated. Oh yeah, I have a 04 XB12s. Thanks guys.

You'll have to "get down there" to see them. Go to the left side of your bike, squat down next to the motor. They're recessed into both cylinder heads a bit. The front one you should see fairly easily, behind the larger "air scoop". The back one, you'll need a flashlight. [smirk] If you want to trace the wires, you might as well download the Service Manual which explains how to get to everything.

Just find my post on the Page after clicking {Here}

Blowing a fuse sounds like something shorting out. There's been a few recent posts about wires getting worn through and shorting out. Might check all the wires you can get to and make sure everything is connected securely. Best of Luck and hope you find it.

screw it, it's still under warranty. so, it'll be going to the dealer tomorrow.

warranties are great and all, but with some of the stories i've already heard on here about their bike being in the shop for weeks, i'm not sure that's the route I'd want to take

That's the only choice that I have. I paid extra for the extended warranty, may as well use it. It'll be in the shop tomorrow. Let's see what happens.

Go in there and be their best friend. If your really cool with them they will be a lot more helpful. Also sound like you know what your talking about. I'm not saying you don't, but if you don't come across that way to them, it'll take longer.

The dealer picked up the bike today and found that the ignition coil was bad and it would take 5-10 business days to get the part. Good grief!!!!
