Highway foot pegs

Thanks. I think I'm OK with foot pegs vibration. Today I took a couple hundreds miles trip from Seattle to Mt Rainer and back and my legs feel much better than after my previous long trip experiences.

So here is my touring setup

Thank you TPEHAK! Lots of great info in this thread. Placement of the pegs on my SCG are perfect for me. Not as much vibration as I thought there would be. As an elderly person the SCG bends my knees pretty tight. This just may be the magic pill I've been craving. Working the 1/4 inch plate is much like hardwood. Thanks again.

I love the idea, but I could've told you that was going to be a high vibe situation from the design mounting the peg mounting plates directly to the engine. That isoplanar engine mounting system is designed to alleviate vibes on the frame and that would be the best structural member to add pegs to, but alas there's not really much that far up front you can mount to since the frame angles up towards the stem. Another issue I'd be concerned with would be the strength of the oil pump cover and primary case cover bosses and bolt diameter not really being up to the task of supporting the weight they might see, but with enough reinforcement, maybe it's not an issue. Sorry, another engineer here; just chiming in candidly.
