My last appointment today was near some good ridin roads so I took my bike and planned on taking the long twisty way home. Just happened that the guy I had to meet had an 1125 among some other nice bikes. Not to mention a 700hp olds 442 which was the reason I was there. After talking shop for an hour I told him I had to get going.

As I am gearing up he tells me to take off my gas cap?!?! As he is dumping fuel in my tank he is laffing like a mad scientist. Apparently he has some secret recipe of race gas, av gas, pump gas and 7 herbs and spices. He runs it in all his bikes and adds an 8th spice (lead) for his 442. Whatever he dumped in my tank was watered down by half a tank of pump gas but.... holy... shit... I need to get the recipe! My bike loved it. Crisper throttle response revved faster even at half throttle. I thought my clutch was slipping until I looked at the speedo. An engine runs best moments before it explodes but this guy seemed to know his stuff.

My pipe and tune should be sorted out soon and I am curious how it will run on that juice then. I'm still smiling. First time my front tire came up with a twist of the throttle.

be carfull av gas has a ton of LEAD in it so does race gas and 02sensor don't like it so much.
I ran a ton of 100ll (av gas) in my truck when i had a small airport i drove buy on the way home from work and was spraying it with nitrous for fun.
it's a cool blue color and smalls really good when it Burns

Yea.. it was blue and smelled like you would get drunk off of it. Pretty sure its mostly av gas but diluted with race gas. He said its 108 octane. Is the worst it would do is damage the o2 sensor? I could just carry a spare or 2. :)

Supposedly yes it can make o2's read slow never actully seen one damaged from it.
Av gas is 110 octane. The air cooled Xb will like lead it burns cooler.

Where at in Oregon? Im just a few hours from the border in cali. Ill take some of that GoGo juice.

there are lots of race mixes out there, now they have oxygenated fuels which i have found to give you wrong plug readings in carb bikes i thinks 105,108 are the 2 we messed with. but we have played with 110,c16 is the best! blue is ok gas purple is the best stuff a guy run in a hayabusa.

Holy cow. I would make the trip to Oregon just to fill up my 5 gallon drum. And only put it in when i am going to race my brothers Duc. Is there anywhere in cali that sells that stuff?

Most off road shops have connections for race fuel. I know there are VP and Sunoco dealers in and around Dallas. Also drag strips normally sell various type of race fuel so that's another place to look on weekends during the summer

I am 10 mins from the Washington Border Dusty.

You can get race gas at bike shops, some auto parts stores and definitely at the track.

Av gas you can get at almost any small airport that has friendly employees.

Is it really that difficult to get fuel elsewhere?

Oregon is pretty relaxed and I forget sometimes how anal other states are.

You could walk naked down the street with an ak-47 slung over your shoulder and a joint hanging from your mouth without breaking any laws. You would need a medical card for the pot, which most people seem to have. Glaucoma must be an epidemic here. A cop might stop you and ask for some ID or at least honk and wave as he drives by.

they have 110 at some sunoco and citgo stations here in michigan. they are leaded fuels, some of my buddies have to run it in their snowmobiles.

When I lived in Ca. we bought 114 race fuel from a 76 station. This was also 15 years ago. It was the same price then as regular is now. I remember thinking 3 bucks a gallon was ridiculous!

Maybe it was nitro-methamphetamine. My bike did run like a crazed cranksta gangsta. We have plans to ride some time soon. I will find out what he uses fo sho.

I have heard that you can buy 100 low lead (its blue) at airport service stations where they fill up small privately owned planes. By law, they can't pump directly onto your bike or car tank, but you can bring a gas can or storage container and they will fill it. It will cost ya $$$ :D:D
