some of you know most dont .. got a vmax totaled it....always likes xb12ss .. love the 09...always felt small when id sit on them .. and i would shy away because of the size of the bike....this time around im going for it...im thinking the small feeling will go away with miles ridden as the fun factor starts to take over not interested anymore in all out bad ass fast...just respectable street pull fun...i always though the buells where the coolest looking bike make...when it happens all will know

Good luck Maybe! Man that really sux u dumped ur Vmax thats one sexy ass bike, if I ever went for more of a cruiser look that'd be my bike. I dont think I seen your post on what happened, mind dropping the link, or just giving me the run down?

Thaloc's right, that is one of the best lookin' bikes out there to be a cruiser!! I'm assuming maybebuell is talking about this one:

Maybe...I have an 06 Ss that im contemplating parting with......Baby coming, had to buy a new car ( no more cheap leases ), wifes not gonna be working soon, I dont wanna part with it and I'm sorta waiting to see how things work out. But if I do sell her, she will only be going to a good home [smirk]

Thanks [up]..baby's not due till the end of April. I would really like to keep it ( and hopefully I can ) BUT...everytime I look at her covered in my garage I see a stroller, car seat, and a mountain of diapers ;)

Good luck in your decision. ( If you like the new V-Max, the 1125CR looks like its little brother....kinda )

I got my 08 12ss back in July. I have never been happier with a purchase. It's just an awesome streetbike that doesn't get lost in the sea of lookalikes out there. And...... It's an american V-Twin. What more could you ask for?

jobe im with you i just want to ride dont want to be screwing around with a bike that stumbles ,backfires in stock form..i dont want to be spending time and money to get it to run smooth in lower rpm...unless its just a few like that buell dealer is around 40 miles away ....i like the ss how did yours run in stock form

You will anyways. I have yet to have owned a bike that I left completely stock. After riding a new bike for a while you will notice little things that you want to improve, either for comfort or style [cool]

I am completely satisfied about my Ss purchase, I wasnt sure at first because I really wanted a SCG (im 5'9") but after having put some miles on my Ss I couldnt be happier with my decision :D

** side note **
I couldn't be happier with my new cage purchase too....08 Charger R/T, 5.7L, SRT interior, touch screen NAV, loaded....Its no BUELL, but its the next best thing I reckon ;)

Its really not all that bad. I havnt done the re-route on my bike yet cause im pretty technically challenged, and it really doesnt bother me like it does some. I dont get the "backfire" just the pops from the exhaust when im slowing and after a downshift. to me it just sounds "american". When it comes to performence my bike is completly stock, iv only modded it looks-wise. And MaybeB, its the best man! There really is no better bike to ride if you ride daily. When I rode 4bangers those bikes just feel like their build to do 150 in lefthand circles.

LOL. I know...I know Iv only pulled my airbox cover off twice, and all those wires and nuts and bolts and **** just gives me a headache. When I take sh!t apart then put it back together I always end up with extra parts...and people tell me thats not good....

what are you talking about? shedding "race weight" is always a good thing

And anyways, its SOOOO easy. You take the two rubber hoses that go into the airbox, and you tee them together and run those to a small breather anywhere that you feel is right. Then plug the holes in the airbox with leftover hoes you got laying around( you got some extra hoes right?) Bang... done!

haha...see even that confised me...im hopeless. The only time i take something apart is when I have a friend with me to tell me how to put it all back together.
