I've been thinking about this lately...How long will everyone keep there buell? A couple years? Miles depending? I think I have decided I will keep my Buell for the long haul. I figure it's such a unique bike, and it would be a shame to part with it, especially knowing it's unlikely that I will find another one (as they are becoming more and more rare) So even if in the coming years, its replaced by another "primary" bike, It will always be in the garage taken out as a treat. At first I was going to learn on my xb12 then trade in on an 1125r. Now I have started customizing the xb so I will work on it till a new buell street model comes out then the xb will really go under the knife for major upgrades. Still will be keeping it indefinitely.... maybe i will give it to my kids one day if that day comes.

10 years or so? Long enough to hand it down to my 12 year old when he's old enough to ride. I'll buying a new Buell/EBR/Bomber/Whatever-Erik-is-building at that time anyway. As long as my son doesn't total the XB, it'll stay in the family for a long time.

I have had the pleasure of owning over a dozen bikes the last 26 years but BamBam is by far my fav, his rareness, simplicity and the way he performs speaks volumes to my soul....
they'll have to pry my cold dead hands from BamBams bars!
:D

i've got a lightning and a firebolt, my dad has a uly. One day after i get these two paid off, i'd like to get an 1125R or CR to round out the collection. i don't plan on getting rid of either of them anytime soon. provided my wife doesn't have a problem with it. :D

I would like to keep mine forever. Hopefully life will allow me to follow through with my wish. I would like to pick up another buell sometime down the road but i do not think i could afford it much less afford the one i got. My 2010 xb12r is the only vehicle i ever bought new and it will always be special to me for that reason.

Until I can't get any replacement parts to fix it.
I've spent $17K repairing and upgrading my 1993 Jeep Wrangler that had 95K mile on it when I bought it for $5500 back in 2002.
When you have a passion for something, it is more fun keeping it going than trying to find a replacement that I will have to start another build on.
With my left shoulder degenerating, at some point I may be forced to stop riding it and maybe pass it down to my son or another family member.
I'll lobby for legalizing selling kidneys to avoid selling my Buell.

my goal is to get new motorcycles at some point but never sell one if you know what i mean. at least not the buell. In 60 years ill be dragging my fake knee

Keeping mine until either A: I crash and total my bike beyond repair or B: I get a jig table and build my own bike.

i wish i started with one with lower miles, mine has 12k but oh well... ive done so much to it, it makes me happy... ill be holding onto it for quite a while... selling my 67 triumph though, haha, its on my "profile" in my pics...

ill be keeping my bolt forever, I hope to be able to buy a 1125r at some point. It would also be nice to see a NEW bike come out of EBR then plans could change.:D

Well as they are now worth nothing "Thanks HD" it's mine till she dies. Although that would have been the case anyway.
