Thanks for the feedback guys.
It doesn't need to be painted. I just sandblasted it in case I wanted to, but the buyer could do whatever they please.
I'm still looking at pricing, but my major concern would be copyright on the Peg logo since it's not mine. Anybody have any thoughts on that??
Seeing as how the Rizoma guard sells for around $90 I feel that around $30-$40 for these would be a fair price. Let me know your opinions.
Also this is on an 08 Firebolt. Not sure what other years are the same but I know the older ones are a little different. My buddy has an 04 and I borrowed his stock guard and will be making a guard that will fit those years later this week, will post pics when done.

Nilla I could make some for the 1125's for about the same price $40 ish. I would need a stock plastic one as that's what I base my measurements off of. Where are you located? I'm in WI and don't have access to any 1125's if you could send me your stock guard that might work? I might have to send you a few prototypes to get it right since I don't have the bike to test fit on.
Yjboomer, I will cut out one with the vent lines and post a pic so you can see if you like it later this week. I suppose if anyone else has any other ideas I could do those too, make a few different "models" so to speak to chose from.

Looks good man.. I like the belt guard, wouldn't want any cuts outs on the top but I like the buell logo on the side..
Hopefully around the middle of this week I will be all set on the prices and ready to get some shipped out to you guys.
I am going to take all the ideas presented and get them cut out and I will post some pictures of all the options available.

According to the parts posted on Buellsterparts.com 2005-2010 XB9's and 12's use the same belt guard.
I couldn't find much on the older models, my guess would be that the 03 and 04's are the same... but that's just a guess? I'm sure your dealer could tell you.
