My girl is 4' 11", and I was wondering if a blast would be a good height for her. She's just starting riding and she has has taken the safety course and I wanna get her a bike for x mas maybe even one that needs some work.

My wife is 5'2'' and rides her Blast fine. There are two seats available for the Blast- regular height and a lower version. The short seat is on ebay a lot. If she took the course it was probably on a Blast.

I believe the seat height is 27.5 inches so measure her inseam while she is sleeping

Not very tall, my 12 year old can sit on my wife's and touch the ground with both feet.. He keeps asking her when he can ride it..

my x was 5'0" and the blast was the only sport bike that fit her you could also try a 250 nija or honda 250 but she shouldnt have any prob on a blast

Get her some slightly raised boots and an monster 620 or sv650 and she will be better to ride with. Thats my plan with my wife, she is more excited to choose the boots than the bike though. My wife wants some icon ones like this that are made for protection

My girl is 4'11" and can barely touch on both sides when sitting on a Blast. I know I can slide the forks up in the clamps, but I don't know if there is a shorter shock to lower the rear.

I started on my blast when I was 15 and I am a scrawny asthmatic runt. Although it was a cake walk compared to my Kawi KLX 300 that I rode all the time. Who needs to touch the ground anyway?

CB750- has she tried the shorter seat yet? I like to say i'm 5'1, but really a little shy of it.. i got the short seat, and it made a world of a difference. I am pretty much flat footed now when i ride,i wear a practical boot, no high heels and i do just fine.

Original Poster. IE The guy who started the thread! haha
Only reason I ask is I might have one for sale soon

Thanks or all the info everyone

My daughter is 4'10" on a Blast with an altered low seat (sides trimmed in about an inch). It gave her more of a straight legged position. She was able to touch with both feet, but not flat-footed (and confidently for a new rider) until we found a good set of women's riding boots, not like the one's pictured earlier in the thread for women. The tall heal can prevent proper position of feet for the rear brake and/or shifting. A tall seat can be used for more comfort if the front tubes are slid up like cb750 is asking, but you will have to modify the rear shock to even things out. The rear spring can be shortened or a the whole shock can be rebuilt lower.
