How To: Tire Change

I changed the front tire with zipties but I did have to use one prybar to remove and install the new one...real easy though.

Hey all, just posted this elsewhere as well, but need an answer quickly if possible....can't get the rear axle out from the swingarm (XB12Ss). Never noticed before, but there was no pinch bolt(!), and the axle is rock solid...can't turn. Sprayed it with WD40 on both sides, and will try again in the morning, but need to get a rear tire on it soon. Any suggestions?

OK, so for anyone who's interested, it seems like the WD40 soaking made a diff, with some encouragement this morning, the rear axle came out, and the new tire is on. So now I have a couple more questions: (1) why did the rear axle corrode so bad (I wire brushed it and coated lightly with anti-sieze before reassembling), and (2) what are the dimensions / threads of the rear axle pinch bolt, since mine went missing at some point. Thanks in advance!

:D just have seen that Tire cleaning video...makes me :D:D
why doing this when Tire-Wheel is on the bike??? much easier doing it when tire not on the rimm.....[smirk]

. Bet thats way easier than the 2x4 bead breaker and rim protectors with tire spoons, that I use..

Know this is a little old, but can someone shed light on this 2x4 bead breaker? I have all irons, spoons, and protectors, but looking for a way to break the bead. On the jeep tires we did last we used a method which is not safe for motorcycke tires, but I was thinking of a big ass C clamp or something line that. Got a tire comming Thursday and need to install it asap!

Edit: I searched more and found a shovel idea and forklift which I have here at the shop. I'll give these a shot.
