Anyone on here have any experince with the water transfer printing or "hydrographic" printing...we are already in the powdercoating business and are wanting to expand into this market. I wanna use my buell as the test project, just wanna know if anyone on here has messed with it.

Holy Sh!t thats just cool!! How does it hold up compared to airbrushing or even just a conventional sticker?

seen that stuff on american chopper, they did it on sheet metal and it came out amazing. so very close to a painted look. get in that business!

I have considered having my wheels hydro graphic to look like carbon fiber, I think it would be awesome. I have a buddy that had his whole bike done a few years ago and it still looks great.

I do this as a side business. I don't ride a buell. I would love to have one but can't afford it. I do ride a 01 ninja zx7r that I plan on dipping. If I can help anyone out with this just let me know. My website is WWW.tvhydrodip.com

The durability of this crap is pretty amazing. They've been dipping shot guns and bows in camo for over a decade. I've got a Browning shot gun that gets ABUSED in the goose fields and it still looks new after about 6 seasons.

What most people are worried about is whether the print is going to hold up or not. The print really means nothing. If the base coat and clear coat are good quality then the part will last. In the end the finish is just like an automotive paint job. If it gets scratched just buff the finish. If its a deep scratch then you my have to wet sand and buff. In the end you will treat the parts just like your car or truck.

I would consider it for $400 but no way for $650-$750. I can get it custom painted for less than that.

The thing is that those guys are doing this for a living I'm not. I am just doing this on the side because I like to do it. At $400 I'm not putting much money in my pocket.
