I was thinking about going on the weekly "Wednesday Night Ride" with these guys, glad I skipped the last one:

Debris on expressway

Just scrapes and bruises, both out of the hospital already. They caught the people who failed to secure their load.

Saw a guy in he median yesterday with what looked like a king size comforter wadded up under the rear fender. He was busy prying out pieces while a cop watched him. Didn't look like he went don, but it must have locked up his rear tire... Secure your stuff people!

Lucky it wasn't plywood, I had a piece of plywood fly out like that from the box of a pick up I was following. Lucky for me I was driving my old F350. It caught the right corner of the bumper and fender, no real damage but it would have been different on a bike…

People need to be more careful when hauling suff. Glad they caught the idiots and that the riders are OK.

i've seen that b4, whatched it take sail in front of me, fortunately it landed corner first on the hood of the lexus that just passed me as i was slowing down bcuz i noticed the idiot in a ford taurus wagon with the 3/4" partical board flapping around on his roof. glad everybody's OK

yeah i laughed a little bit, damn jerk should maybe think about slowin down when they guy beside him is obviously braking for something (especially when there no intersections to be braking for).

Even when im drivin my cars if im near a motorcycle and they back off of a car or truck i usually back off too, I'm usually more alert on my bike and i think everyone is a lil more awair of their surroundings when riding as opposed to the majority of complacent drivers.

I think they said the styrofoam was in a box at first, the first bike hit the box, the second bike hit the first bike.

It doesn't take much at high speeds to cause an accident. A small flinch or reaction can cause someone to dump the bike.

I was running too close to a truck a couple weeks ago traveling about 75 on a highway and he hit a tire tread from an 18 wheeler. When he hit it, it kicked it up right at me and missed my face/helmet by by inches. Scared the shit out of me!

Glad they came out with minimal injuries.

Hey Buelly, I think riding a bike teaches us to be more aware and think ahead more. After all we don't have that big metal cage between us and hard reality :)

Glad you're OK netty, the husband of a woman I used to work with had a piece of metal kicked up by a truck on the highway and it came through the windshield of the van he was driving and hit him a glancing blow in the head. Knocked him out and he went into the ditch. He was OK but had a pretty impressive scar and an all-expenses paid stay in the hospital.

I always try to stay away from trucks and pass them as fast as possible when I can as they have a bad habit of kicking stuff up around here, especially in the spring when all the gravel they throw on the roads starts bouncing off the windshield and front of your vehicle. I went through 3 windshields between 2000 & 2004 because of trucks [mad]

Hell I'm having a hard enough time just trying to avoid the Aholes who want to pull out in front of me.......like I'm somehow going to slow them down if they go behind me......or the dipsticks pulling a tight lane change right in front of me.

Don't get me wrong, I don't like the thought of really any kind of debris flying my way, let alone a deer, but even the raccoons around here can be huge.

Can I ask what the revving the engine was all about? The guy filming turned around and when he was going back kept revving his engine. Purpose?

To prove the point that he was head rubb.....^^^^^^^

I can not stand it when biker boys or fags bounce there bikes off the rev limiters to try to get people's attention........
