NEVER adjust the gap on a Denso Iridium Racing, you'll damage the anode.

You can buy a tool specifically for this....

Stopie, no it isn't. You're assuming, now go to your corner.
I'm not assuming, at this point I'm just fukin with jet, because he's getting so bent out of shape over a spark plug and I find it amusing.
honestly Idgaf if someone wants to spend 100$ per plug to gain 1hp in their lawnmower.
that's their business. I think it's funny how some people start bashing others for having an opinion or different experiences, because they have obviously seen and know it all...

I  am very familiar with the Blast engine,  it's exactly HALF of the one that's in my xb12.  lol.
No, it's not. 500cc vs 600cc, different head, different piston, different jug, different cams, different connecting rod, different fuel system, different electrical system...are you starting to get it? It's different.

I'm not bent out of shape. I just enjoy calling you guys a bunch of fucking ignorant tools.

Tools???
Uh, ur the guy bragging about how well he knows a fuking blast, lol. Anything you have to say about performance or racing becomes null and void the second you admit to knowing shit about a blast. lol.
Really, if I want performance tips from a moped mechanic there is a guy right up the street from my house.
What year was it they stopped putting pedals on the Blast???
[smirk]

Apparently knowing about a specific engine makes someone dumb?

I'll let Dan, Aaron, Terry and Chris know. You know, the guys that have the fastest Harley's and Buell's, including Blasts. Apparently they have solid reputations for not knowing shit.

Good luck with that attitude, buddy. You're a clueless moron.

I agree, there is nothing wrong with hot rodding a blast, learner bike or not.

Have you seen the shit these guys have done with blasts?

Impressive is the f*cking word to be used here.

ok, impressive, like an 8 second civic.
I just can't see the Blast as a motorcycle, no matter how hard I try. sorry guys.
besides, " fast Harley" and " fast buell", these are both oxymorons. pre Rotax anyways.

Are you going to tell them they're slow? That's what I thought, go sit down.

Seriously, jetlee? A moderator telling a member to "shut the fuck up"? I understand forum moderators tend to get beat on - but that is astoundingly unprofessional.

I was waiting for this...

I didn't ask to be a moderator, I've even been banned as a moderator and I asked to be removed, but BuellXB chose not to for his own reasons.

You see, I'm not a global keep-the-peace moderator, I'm a Blast-only moderator; I have no mod power in other sub-forums. I'm here to keep the Blast sub-forums organized.

If you don't like it, send a PM to someone who cares, cause I don't.

The issue you're going to have is that none of you have the Blast experience that the few of us do, to adequately assist new Blast riders. Remove my mod status, ban me, I don't give a shit...but good luck afterwards.

The issue is that if you would share your knowledge in a non-berating manner it would be more useful to everyone in general. Moderator or not. I understand your frustration. Possibly more than you might think. When you know and engine so well you could fix it with both hands tied behind your back... and someone comes along and says something that isn't correct...

So as just a board member I'm just asking for a more even-keeled response.

Deal.

My first posts are almost always "even-keeled". As has been said in the past, I'm abrasive. It's just who I am, I'm not going to apologize.

I don't mind, I could have stopped poking the hornets nest a long time ago, and chose not to.
we all have our passions and most of us won't understand the next guys, that's the way motorcycles work.
it was unfair of me to mock something you are clearly very passionate about.
I apologize jet.
Really just glad to see another guy on two wheels.

I know! - Lee always makes me warm and fuzzy! Dumb asses think they know sparkplugs because they changed one - and then want to berate someone for their lack of knowledge - I like tools - they are useful, however the proper name is Fools for the rest - and listen to how they bray!
EZ
