just got back from the dealership purchased an 08 12S. Friggin ecstatic. Had to let my buddy ride it to his job (i just got my learners this morning too) but tomorrow morning he's taking me out to learn how to ride. He is a harley owner and hated buells but couldn't keep his hands off the 09 firebolt they had there. i think he's gonna end up buying one. anyways I'll post pics soon!!!!:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

welcome & have fun...;)

a brave thing to let your buddy ride your new bike...

Congrats on the New Bike! Ride safe bro. You'll learn a lot at the MSF course. I'd recommended waiting, but we all know it'd be a wasted post. ;)

He is the one and only person that will ever ride my bike. We have the Bike for Bike deal. and His is 30g's or Harley. I'll just take it to the dealer and buy three buells :0 ) Unfortunately i only have 9 days left before i goto iraq and a family death is taking up most of that so the MSF is going to have to wait til my end of tour leave. I have to take it no matter what so I can ride on post and the army offers it for free :0 ) I'm off to take my first ride now! I'll post pics later today.

Well I had my first day on a Bike. . . Uhh took about 5 mins to bump a curb and lay it down. Luckily, it laid down in the grass scraped the headers and some plastic on the fender and some mud in the handle bars. thank god that was it.

 I won't say I told you so. JK Sounds like it wasn't too bad. You got frame pucks on the bike? An absolute MUST have.

lol I give you props, it takes a man to admit his embarrassing lay downs

there are two types of riders it's been said many ways those that have been down and those that will go down welcome to the club

Yes i have before and after pics I even brought the video cam for my buddy to hopefully catch my first down. we missed it. yea some header wrap (already planned prior to crash) will cover up the only noticeable rash. I had my helmet. I was going about 5mph in an empty parking lot. after that i threw on the armor and gloves. Got back on after i fell and rode for about 2 hours in that lot going in circles. setting up a practice test course this weekend and possibly hitting the road next week. That ****** is fast. Glad i dropped quickly and with no real damage, learned now to always be ready to squeeze that clutch. don't regret buying the bike I'll get the hang of it. just might be a while before I take on a passenger lol. good thing i didn't put on the CF parts i got either. i almost did but figured I'd wait just incase i laid down.

I haven't been down ....

You better be wearing full leathers then! Not too many models have road rash. Plus, someone has to be the good looking one in the group. If something happened to you, Midnight might have a new job here on the forum. :D

Worst part about the swing arm is a ordered the sliders from dark horse about a week and a half ago and they still haven't arrived. . .
