Congrats and thats a bummer all at the same time. Weird saying that.... Ur forks are fine? Looks like it came pretty close to needing a new front wheel too! Ouch! You'll get it down eventually, reading ur post made me remember how I felt when I passed my learners test, got a ride 100 miles away that day and rode my first street bike home. Its a great feeling. Once u get back just take it slow, and stay safe over there in the sand box.

Yea I remember that first day I was learning on it. Lots of "Oh ****!" thoughts when you first let the clutch out. Your mind runs a mile a minute heh. Just stick with it and you will do just fine!

I've been on the road a few times now and the thought process has become much less frantic. I'm having a ton of fun riding. hopefully I can squeeze in one more ride before i head off. and the Forks and front wheel miraculously had no damage. I got lucky. I also now have my frame sliders lol.
