a lot of those super-polarized sportbike riders like you are talking about haven't been riding for long and they are running with other guys that haven't been riding for long either so it just reinforces the douchbaggery .. guys that have been around a lot longer have owned a wider selection of bikes and aren't as narrow-minded.

Same kinda applies to the Harley guys. I live in Florida and those guys are just EVERYWHERE. Some of them are guys that hit 40 and buy a Hog as a first bike so they can "join the crowd and go to bike week".. but you cant stereotype them either, Ive met Harley guys that were true-blooded riders that have just owned fucking everything with long heritages of sport riding and you can just sit and talk about motorcycles for hours. You cant judge a guy by what you see him riding on really. He may be on a chopper when you first see him but at home hes got a Ducati.. you just cant ever really tell until you talk with the dude.

Can anybody help me out with an explanation on why there's so much (for lack of a better word) hate between riders on different types of bikes?

that is simple, PENIS ENVY IS A TERRIBLE THING. LOL.

They are just mad because all their girlfriends always turn and look when a Buell rider goes by.

you got a cool bike man, don't sweat it. If you don't see any of them in your area, that's BONUS! The XB is a hot little V-twin, legendary handling when the suspension is set right. A lot of torque and power when you consider how little fuel it burns. Its small and agile. You can make a cool custom out of one. You are actually burning less fuel than a SV650 but the 1203 is putting out torque numbers kinda like a liquid-cooled 850cc V-twin or something. Our motors are simple and pretty easy to work on. All this makes it a good all-rounder for the street. Its not a slick and super refined motor, but that's why it is what it is. I came off 600s and going over to the 1203 took a while to get the hang of that motor and use it the way it likes to be used. Over the next 6 months or a year on that bike, youll get faster than you are now. That first few months for me, I wasn't really sure if I liked that motor or not but it eventually grew on me. Its definitely the most fun bike I have owned. That's really what you got going for you... that XB is FUKKING FUN, not a boring bone in its body.

and remember man, the XB is not a liter class I4 motorcycle, its in the same class as the 650-750 liquid cooled v-twins. So it compares pretty well to other bikes in its class... and you are making more power than the MUCH LOVED air-cooled Ducati Twins that are the same class as the XB. The XB is what it is ... don't look at it for what it isn't.

Hey, I'm in Indy and just recently got an xb9. I looked up that Hoosier Thunder Club and all I could find was profile page, no group page. Please let me know what I'm doing wrong! Haha thanks!

There's another group, called the NWI Riders club on FB. They're more west than Elkhart though - Merrillville and such. They ride anything and everything, but they're a really cool group of people. There's 3-4 buelligans in the group. I haven't been out on a ride with them yet, but I'd like to...
