I'm part Native American but I really do not like the color red. It's probably the least favorite color of mine of the 1125 CR's. now white is probably my favorite but since I am currently thinking about painting it I would rather go with a color that is more unique in the way of not a factory color. Now I am thinking of going with Chevy orange. Also like blue colors such as Ford blue or LeMans blue, but I think that orange will be a safer color as far as visibility on the road but less of a cop noticing it color. not like the Dean Adams exhaust I got doesn't point me out enough to the police officers. So what I was wondering was who all has there Buell custom painted and what color do y'all think would be the one to pick if you were painting yours? Pics welcome

I think a blue 1125 would be unique as heck. And cool! I put gm "out of the blue" on my vrod,its a great color (imo) and there's always buell blue streak that was in my cyclone. ..

Coal digger, that took some time on that skull bike. My bud air brushes but too much in that paint job. I dig the flat black, but that's how I painted my 1100 shadow

As for blue I like old school looks. I just bought a so tail today, well yesterday technically. Bagger your vrod blue is nicer than my new so tail blue for show.

My buddy had a title loan and had to sell. I got a hell of a deal. Last thing on my mind 12 hours b4 I bought this so tail was buying a bike, little on a harley. Just when a steal comes along, u gota jump on it. So now that I got a black and a blue, I'm getting pushed more so orange, even if I really don't like my new blue color. Kinda bland. Now here is a pic of a bike with plastics in same places as the 1125cr and its orange. Not Chevy orange, but closest I've found so far. Here she is

I like that kawi orange. I've seen some nice colors on ducatis around here ...a guy at the duc shop has a street fighter in lambo mercialago (?) Grey..looks very nice... My fxr4/was bright yellow with some green metal flake....couldn't miss it

My bagger softail was burnt orange with flames not bright, but really liked color choice...the CR is a cafe bike or nakedbsportbike ...needs to be bright imo. Not a fan of red either, but I'm good with my red cr

I just Plasti-Dipped mine from red to white/black. I agree with the CR color sentiments!

Bagger that looks great. I did the plasti-dip route to see if I was going to like it... thinking of going permanent either by finding used white plastics online or just painting like you did.

did you have any trouble working with the plastic bodywork? i know i have to bend the tail section a bit to get it on, so problems with cracking/elasticity?

I didn't have much trouble at all with the paint process. Donnie removed and installed his own plastics for me. I did use flexed primer and sealer on everything just in case. My painting thread has steps in detail. I'd post a link but I'm camping. ... search painting posts only by buellybagger.
