Injectors pooched or poor fuel pressure?

Posted a previous thread about my bike not getting fuel...pulled my injectors yesterday to confirm that they were actually squirting. They are in fact squirting but the amount seems pretty minimal. I took a video...the fuel is barely coming out and appears to be more of a stream than a mist. I suspect this is due to low fuel pressure. I've replaced the pump, reg and filter, so if it is a pressure issue than I will have to disassemble the unit again. Please take a look at the vid and let me know what you guys think.

You should get a pressure gauge and see what pressure you really have, you should be at about 50 psi. What pump did you use as a replacement ? Did you rebuild it ?

cannot see the right side injector spray pattern at all. the left side red tipped injector clearly visible and estimate is you have about 20% of the pressure you should have. double check your work. either faulty pump or faulty regulator or hose connection or supply hose.

Ok so I've taken the fuel pump out and have bucket tested it. I had to do a bunch of running around to get the pieces required to assemble a reliable pressure tester. I'm going to post pictures of the pressure tester i whipped together just in case anyone wants to tackle that in the future. As previously mentioned I have replaced the fuel regulator with a brand new OEM replacement. With the fuel pump assembly in a bucket, and the pressure tester connected i turned on the ignition to prime the pump. No pressure reading on the gauge. I looked closer in the bucket and realized that all the fuel was being blown out the return line back into the bucket.
I'm not going to go ahead and say theres no way I bought a faulty regulator, but is there anything else that could be going on here? I'm uploading a video link of the pump assembly in action:

You did good with the pressure gauge. At least you found the problem, Its either the regulator or hooked up wrong, as John said double check your work and test it again before you reinstall of course. Keep us posted.

So I'm making another appeal for help....I've just been through a third fuel pressure regulator and fuel filter on the off chance that the new one i had previously bought was a lemon.

I'm still getting the same results. I've double checked that the whole assembly is wired properly and it is. There are no blockages in the fuel line. The newest fuel pressure regulator is from the Dodge Caravan. The one that is built to coincide with the pump I've installed.

Ive run the pump without the fuel pressure tester and the amount of fuel coming out of the return line appears to be 10x that of what is coming out of the actual fuel line.

Im absolutely stumped. Does this fuel pump assembly need to be sealed off in the fuel tank to be able to generate pressure?

No it does not need to be in the tank . I see you have the gauges, but what I dont see is any results as in resulted pressure testing, I would not put it back in the bike till you have a good reading. 45 to 50 ish psi.

The needle on the pressure tester won't even move, won't register any pressure because all the fuel is being diverted to the return line by the regulator

i don't know what "kit" you are working with nor the pump involved here....BUT....just a thought? did this pump have directional flow arrows on it? an outside chance the pump is installed in reverse? had to ask.

Good ???? ^^^^^^ John, Something is wrong !! for sure. can you check the pressure before the regulator?

I havent checked pressure before the reg yet....that will take a bit more monkeying around, but I'm sure i should go about doing that at some point. I didn't buy a 'kit' per se, but I installed the pump off the '96 Dodge Caravan as per the DIY pump thread located on this site. The pump does not have directional flow arrows on it, nor is it hooked up backwards. Ive already tried switching the leads around on the pump and that also did nothing. As we already know, I'm getting flow to the regulator, just no pressure after it so it doesn't make sense that the pump would be hooked up backwards.

I just checked the housing that the regulator connects to to confirm that there are no blockages in there either and it was free and clear.
