Hi all... new here. I currently have an 05 Kawi ZX6R. The more I ride it the less I like it. I don't think I want to go to a cruiser just yet but don't want to play the lay down on the tank 100+ mph game anymore either. Where I live we don't have many roads that you can rail corners all day either. I've looked at many many different types of bikes and so far the XB12SCG fits me the best. Being 5'6" its kinda hard to get a perfect fit. Just sitting on it I was amazed how stable it feels. You kinda feel like you are part of the bike. I would almost bet that it could stand up on its own without a kickstand.

I guess my question for you owners and ones that have ridden both. Is this the right bike?

K, I'm a little taller (5'9") and ride a xb12s. If you feel comfy on it stationary, you'll love it on the road. Low speed balance is awesome and handling is exceptional. Commuting is way too much fun and tours are fanfu#$%*ntastic. I did 2800 km in 2 days & was completely ready for more! Still gonna lower the bars, but that's a minor thing. Enjoy!!!

my last bike was an 03 600RR. yes it was fast and flawless but it didn't have the character of my SCG. IMO, the buell isn't all there as far as high revving, 6th gear, screamer, but it does have the personality and uniqueness. it's somehow barbaric and crude but yet innovative and very different.
i love it it and i plan on keeping it for a long time.
oh, yes, it's much more comfy and fun to ride. it won't kill your back.

i am about 5'6 and going from the 07 R6 to a xb12 was the best move i ever did.. we dont have much good riding here but it suits the cruising and playing around very very well!

yup, im 21 and went from a zx6r to a xb12s. Way more fun and makes you ride much harder. do it!

Did the same thing, had a GSXR750, everything I did was to try and get the lower end, this time bought an XB12Ss, got that low end grunt I wanted, and when all my buddies are tired of riding, I can still keep going. Back and wrists don't hurt anymore.

I had a gsxr750 as well and now I ride a 09 12Scg and love it. Actually I tried a X1 back when I had my 750 which was in 99 and as soon as I got back from the test ride I ask the salesman how do you give me for my bike? I want that Buell. My only problem back then was the 16k they were asking for the buell so I waited 8 years and now I have it and plan on keeping it. It got the low end grunt I was looking for plus a unique character and it doesn't look like every other bikes.

I am 26 years and went from a an 03 R1 to an XB9s (still have the R1) but don't regret the switch in the least bit. It is perfectly suited for mildly aggressive street riding and wont break your neck, back or wrists.

I now see what I've been missing all these years.

pain-free riding is great!

Im 27 and 5ft 6" ive had an zx6r then an R6,an to be honest i would say that my current bike (09xb12scg) is the best bike ive owned, its awesome fun out on the twisties, handling is lovely, comfortable, turns heads everytime im out on it,also the whole buell scene is a nice change.my advice.... DO IT!

ride safe.

I'm 6'2", 195 and I have an 08scg, it's a little tight for me but either way i was going to be uncomfortable. Just switch my bars out this weekend to the xb12r setup and it looks mean. The exceptional handling was magnified 10X's with this change. Make the switch, you won't regret it.
